RBA was approached by St Joseph's Province Centre to prepare a proposal for the existing chapel interior which was in much need of refurbishment.

A suite of ecclesiastical furniture was designed, including altar, tabernacle and lectern, a new lighting and colour scheme implemented (including up-lighting and bespoke pendant fittings) and new carpet was custom-designed and manufactured (inspired by the signature motif of the Order of St Joseph). Heating and audio systems were also sympathetically retro-fitted and stained glass windows repaired. The furniture design and interior decorative scheme resulted from detailed historical research into relevant iconography, so as to develop a meaningful design language.

The outcome was a dramatic transformation of the chapel into a warm and comfortable space that is now much enjoyed by the Sisters and the community.
